Recently you might have heard that Msgr. Francis Boyle, formerly a priest at St. Gabriel's, was accused of abuse of a child many years ago. Msgr. Boyle has maintained his innocence of the charges. The Holy See and local law enforcement in the United States have done extensive investigations. They have found that there is no credibility to the charges. Msgr. Boyle has been exonerated.
Thank you God!
Prayer to the Virgin Mary for Protection
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Our Lady of New York, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Welcome to the Parish of St. Margaret of Cortona-St. Gabriel!
We have many different services, programs and activities. Our Church is the heart of our parish. We try to make Jesus the center of all things with an ample number of Masses and the availability of the Sacraments. Devotion to the Eucharist and devotion to Mary are part of our life.
We offer many programs and activities for all our parishioners to help them engage meaningfully in the life of our parish community. As they say in Ireland ‘100,000 Welcomes!”
